To Be A Mom

Hi mom, its me, I'm writing you today.
I wanted to say thanks not just today but everyday
And I want you to know on this your special day,
I'll be forever grateful that you let me say,
I love you in so many ways.

I've picked up your traits you know.
The good ones and the bad ones too!
I'm a chip off the old block its true,
But today its really all about you!

A mother is someone you trust to cover for you,
To always stand up for you no matter what you do,
Ready to lend a helping hand or cash too,
Able to figure hard stuff out and a way to get through.

Life is so hard sometimes and I'm glad for you.
If I didn't have you I'm not sure what I would do.
You are pretty and kind and very smart too.
I've always wanted to have the good traits of you.

Thanks again mom for all that you are,
You are the best of any mother by far,
Happy Mother's Day to my mom, in everyway my star!
