What's wrong with religion

The Follies of Man

Humanity has always asked themselves if God exist, and if he does, what are His plans for us. We have even argued that He must have a god Himself, for if he does not, then how can He even exist, for He needed a creator Himself, right? Let us contemplate the existence of God, life, faith, science, and humanity. We are a great and marvelous species. We have intelligence, the capability to fashion tools to do our own building and creating, we even went to the moon. We have even created tools, machines really, that can solve problems, possibly someday, they will even contemplate their own existence as artificial intelligence becomes a reality. Men are even trying to duplicate humanity itself with the creation of robots, because we gained vast amounts of knowledge and learned about the sciences. Thus, people have really questioned the existence of God, and because of these things, I say, "Humanity is great."

I write of this stuff now because I have often asked others and myself these questions, mainly because being a thinker is fun. I enjoy philosophy, try it, it is easy. Let us start:
1)Does God exist?
2)Was Moses real?
3)Jesus?
4)Mohammed?
5) even Caesar?
Do I believe in these people because I was told to do so? No, I do not. I believe in them because man has the ability to comprehend the concept of time, not just the now, but the future and past. Man has gained vast amounts of knowledge from his senses, the advent of science, and our need for cohesion, or our history. The need to understand ourselves through history is one of our greatest abilities as a species.
Yes, Caesar did exist because the Romans. like their predecessors, the Greeks and Persians, kept historical records of events. Therefore, Jesus did walk this planet. Now, is he the son of God? I do not know and I am not Christian, however< I did Him, Who would know and only got laughter for an answer. Mohammed, a great man I am sure, did exist. I believe in our collective history, not histories, because we are one species of people and there is only one God. It is that simple.
I do not attend any kind of religious organization because man, not God, created religions. He created spirituality, man made it confusing. God created life, not hatred or prejudice, and not even war. Man created all of these things because man created religion, and man can be so wrong. It is a travesty because humanity is great, after all, God created us. Man created
