The best warm weather workouts

Spring has finally sprung in most parts of the world and summer is well on it's way. For some of us the winter is the hardest time to try and lose weight. The reason why is simple; because you can't get outside and be active. With the beginning of warmer weather in sight we can start to look at the many different ways to get a workout.

Most of these are simple and don't cost a lot of money; but as with any workout they do require a little time and effort. I will list some of the best warm weather workouts for you so that you can decide for yourself which ones will benefit you over the course of the season; and get you through the winter months feeling better about yourself, your weight, and your body. Do show some caution however when doing any of these once the weather turns hot. You can arrange your workout accordingly with the coolest parts of the day so that you can get the greatest gains possible.

There is always walking. Walking is a great way to get to know yourself and your neighbors. If you can start a routine of walking in the early morning or late afternoon into early evening it can help to melt away the pounds; and best of all it's entirely free to do. All you need to do is go out that door with a comfortable pair of shoes on and head down that road. Send greetings out to your neighbors as you pass, or wear headphones and listen to some upbeat music.

Gardening is another way to exercise. The soil needs to be prepared, the plants need to be put in the ground, and then carefully and diligently cared for once they start growing. Tilling the ground to get it ready for planting can work muscles that you didn't even know you had. Planting and caring for the fruits, vegetables, and flowers can be labor intensive, but in the end you will have accomplished much more than you would have thought possible.

Caring for your lawn. The upkeep on your lawn can be considered a workout in and of itself. Just like at work, don't take the elevator, take the stairs; so to it is with your lawn. Don't use a riding lawnmower, use a push mower if you can. By using the push mower you can work muscles in your entire body. When it comes time to fertilize your yard, use a spreader that you walk behind. This way you get an even coating of the fertilizer that will make your lawn look better, and you get the benefit of doing the walking; which will make you look better.

Tennis, Swimming, Badminton and Hiking are all sports that you can enjoy once the weather turns warm. All of these can be indulged either with a small amount of effort or a lot of effort; it's entirely up to you how involved you want to be. If you want a small 30 minute workout or a longer session, each of these things can be considered.

Once the weather is warm enough you can find a lot of ways to workout the kinks from a long winter's hibernation. Just remember to find something that you can be passionate about that way you will be sure to stick to your routine. By enjoying any of the above listed activities you will soon start seeing some changes in how you look and feel. After all the sun doesn't have to be the only thing that will shine this summer!
