I don't believe that there is a consensus about global warming at all. Anyone can find a expert to back up their beliefs if the price is right. I think that people have politicized this message so much that it is hard to stiff out fact from fiction.
It is my personal opinion that common sense will tell us that all of the green house gases and trash filling our landfills can't be good for the planet. Whenever people messes with the natural order of things then there has to be consequences. I do however believe that many people are exaggerating the claims of global warming to meet their own agenda. I think that because George W. Bush did not sign off on the Kyoto plan then that opened the door to all kinds of political rhetoric.
It is ashame that the American public can not get the cold hard facts on this subject as well as others. The newscasters twist the facts to meet their own cause. CNN usually approaches it from the left and FOX from the right. Now we the American people are just looking for the truth and intelligent law makers that will consider all aspects and do the right things.
