I have in mind an ange.

If I could paint like a classic master,
with palette and oils on a canvas bare,
and charge my hands with a delicate trace,
the image of my love could be composed.
All hues of lucid cast would melt in mind,
a heart so fair, so warm and tender too.

If I could sculpt, a fine magnum opus,
with mallet and chisel, from marbled stone,
and wield my palm with loving embraces,
then, the love of my life could be displayed.
A vivid pose embodied in the eyes,
Venus, goddess of love, personified.

If I could write in a Byronic style
with quill and ink to create poetic score
then steel my heart with a romantic verse,
my voice for your love could be then revealed.
A lyrical rhythm, deep from my inner soul,
a gift, true love, from god that makes it whole.

For I am a man, who will love you so,
an angel as beautiful as you are.
