Revenue sharing for writers

Are you receiving your fair share of revenue for articles written? If not, pay particular attention to what you are about to read. This article will explain exactly how you as a freelance writer can build a second income simply by writing about topics that interest you. There is no secret or real method to the madness as many might suspect. The biggest part of the entire pathway to subvention is locating web sites which share advertising revenue. Aside from this, the other difficult part is signing up to become a member of each and publishing your articles and other content.

Yes, it does sound simple and it really is. There is nothing difficult or complicated about self publishing. In fact, you may already be doing so without knowing the lingo. Here are a few examples of sites which publish user content and then split advertising revenue:

Helium
Triond
Associated Content
ShareYourExpertise
SocyB erty
Quazen
YouTube
Revver

The list goes on and on. Of course, you will not get rich from any of these websites, however, you can build a healthy second income if you consistently publish content on a regular basis. In fact, you can even market your articles and content by becoming a participating member of social bookmarking web sites. If you notice the last two named sites on the above list, you will recognize these as video and podcast sites. In January 2007, YouTube began offering its subscribers an even split of Adsense revenue produced. Revver began much earlier, although, this one is not as popular as the famous YouTube which was sold to Google for a reported 1.65 billion dollars.
Content sites and article sites are not very different from these two video sites. There are many revenue sharing sites which embrace new members and encourage self publishing and many offer a variety of topics and categories to post to. For those unfamiliar with revenue sharing, based solely on my personal experience, it seems most monetize user content sites by using Adsense. How it works is similar to any other website. They use Google's Adsense. Each time your content or article is read by a visitor to the site and happens to click on an Adsense link, you and the host site split the income produced from the reader click. Obviously, the more readers of your article the better because these readers each are a potential click in the making. Yes, the greater your readership the better the opportunity to click on an advertisement.

Of course, it would be great if you had enormous amounts of visitors, readers and clicks because it takes a substantial amount to produce a single dollar. However, over time and with luck, you can build an income stream. There are a few tips and tricks to improve the odds and potential clicks by readers. However, I will save that one for my next article. Be sure to check back and learn the secrets of income production via revenue sharing. Until then, start writing for fun and profit. Remember there is no time like the present.
