SUNSHINE DREAMS
In sunshine dreams her worries drift
Like specks of dust upon a ray,
And she departs to turquoise seas
To linger on white sugar sands.
From sidewalk chair, strong coffee sips
As brushstrokes paint the artist's hue,
The shadows play upon her face,
Steel tower's lace a wondrous view.
Til last, a jewel upon the sea,
Sad savior set amidst the clouds,
With arms outstretched he sees from high
His people, trapped in poverty.
In truth, she stands before the sink
With hands submerged, works aimlessly,
A mindless task, she seeks release
In sunshine dreams in which she leaves.

the little group,
towards the border and their freedom fled.
Just keep running,
don't

Silver stars are twinkling in the sky
