You have worked for your present employer for what seems like a decade. You are about tired of the nagging coworkers and demanding boss. Besides the pay is not very good. Would there be any good reason why you should continue to hang around in this terrible place? Recently the thought of quitting your job has been laying heavy on your mind. Wait! Don't throw that fit and walk out just yet with your hands up in the air. There are few good reasons to quit and job but there are a whole lot of bad ones. If you are experiencing the following reasons consider sticking with your job until later notice.
* You have had it with the lazy coworker or the nagging boss has that look in his eyes again today. Just because you had a tiny spat at work does not give you any reason to quit. Everyone has bad days. Chances are you caught the coworker or you boss on one of their bad days. Hang in there they may even realize that what they did or said was wrong and have full plans of an apology if you stick around long enough.
* The work is repetitive and you have become bored with your job. Before you walk out from a case of boredom consider talking with your boss. If you are a good employee you may be able to get the boss to move you to a new job. Someone else may be in the same position as you and volunteer to change with you if they know what is going on. Always make sure to get the boss or supervisors OK before you switch your position. Chances are any job you have in your life at some point will become boring. Learn to work through boredom. You had rather have a boring job paying the bills than no job living in a cardboard box.
* Don't allow yourself to begin thinking you are too good for the job you perform. The job you do has a meaning whether it is a factory or a high-rise office building. If you think you can do better make changes for a career or transfer but do not leave your current position just because you think you are the Queen or King of the workforce. Chances are if you are simply thinking with no continued education or training you will end up right back in a job like you have now. Prepare yourself for advancement before you take the leap.
* Do not quit a job because you do not like the people you work with or the job you perform. It is difficult to work with people you do not get along with or at a job you hate but everyone must start somewhere. Working through situations like this builds self-awareness and self-confidence. People are always changing jobs be the better
