Writers of the sea have described the influence of moods through colors, the shifting of marine waters, and the effect that man and sea convey to each other in accompanying the whole experience. Yet, personal sensation is far more persuasive when the individual stands on a deck of a undersized aluminum boat, positioned on the watery yawning of the Sea itself
Uneasiness was swapped with fear, as waves crashed over the side of our water craft, now position in the sea. The boat engine was turned off by the elderly man, as he fumble with lines of cable, the Sea was bobbing us down, up and round. In a point of time, the cables were reset, the engine sputtered to life, and the sea water parted away from us as we headed towards the Shoal, ( an underwater sandbank in section of the Sea). Typically, there is a sizable group of fish and other sea animals swimming together on the Shoal.
My fishing line was tossed in the sea when we stopped. His murmuring voice was instructing me on the basics of how to catch a fish. I watched my own fishing line that I lobbed into the sea earlier, muscled its own route away from our boat. I permitted the fishing-line to scurry away. Standing, I halted the scurry, by pulling the fishing pole up, setting the hook.
Later, when the photographer was snapping our picture (Dad and I), standing by the two hundred pound halibut fish I capture from the sea, someone's arm was extended into the picture, holding a 12 pound halibut in the sun light, thus, exposing it to the left hand-side of the photo frame.
Writers of the sea have described many different moods that influences the effect sea can convey to a man, as with my dad, when he saw the photo of his fish held out into the same frame as my larger one.
Yet, this personal sensation is far more persuasive for me when the photograph supports the truth of how really to catch a fish.
