I think this is an intriguing idea for a lot of reasons. The first movie was great and the real surprise was that the truly horrific acts came not from the zombies but from the survivors against each other. In a world of anarchy, man becomes the terror.
Danny Boyle is great. I love his work and think him a genius. I hope they film this in digital like the first one because that conveyed a great sense of isolation.
The only question is: where can they go? What is left? I think they should continue down the same patha nd try to find a human truth in an apocalyptic future.
This was a really riveting movie and for me a 9/10 so the sequel should be very good barring a major disaster. I think in cases like these you have to trust the director, and Boyle is one of the best.
I do not think it will make much money but it will be profitable for its budget (will be low). I think this is going to be another great movie and once again surprise filmmakers as to what is possible on digital video. This is one to see....
