Daylight
Out of dawn city houses awakened.
Seagulls circled their busy bay.
Captains steered through oceans of light.
Silent vessels sailed towards day.
They welcomed bright times
And abandoned all despair.
They looked forward to
Memories they could share.
Fatigue became energy.
Joy was born anew.
Their souls were illuminated.
Where walls once stood bridges grew.
Rays of light became open sky.
Brooks emerged into mighty rivers.
After meeting light and sky
Destinies lived without barriers.
Challenges known at sea
Bred desires of fulfilment,
Anxious to feel precious life
Every wondrous waking moment.
