Best places for hiding money at home

There are many places to hide money in the home. Obviously safes are secure if bolted, but are a dead giveaway to a thief if they find it and have the time to remove it. The following are a few interesting ideas for hiding.

Hide your money in a wall.

Cut a small piece of your wall out. Construct a small hiding place behind the opening by fastening it to studs, then place sticky Velcro buttons at the corners. Get a face plate that will fit the hole and place the Velcro buttons on it to hold it in place.

Hide your money in a dummy electric receptacle

Hide your money in an air duct

Unscrew the duct and place your money inside. Protect it by placing it in a plastic bag and tape it to the duct so that it doesn't move. You can also create a dummy duct if you wish.

Hide your money inside the kick board of self assembled furniture.

Instead of nailing the kick board in, consider hinging it. This works very well with carpeting. you may need to insert a small knife to open it.

Hide your money behind a hanging mirror

Cut a small portion of the wall out and secure it to wall studs. Place a mirror over it and secure it with brackets.

Hide your money inside hollow curtain rods or hangers in finished closets. The metal variety usually is hollow. Remove and place your money inside. Then reassemble back in place.

Hopefully this will help you in securing your money at home.
