Communication is not the only way to create desire between a man and a woman, but it is one of the easiest and most effective ways to do so. In addition, good communication is essential to maintain and even enhance desire. In fact, a good portion of a branch of science- known as Neuro Linguistic Programming- is dedicated to this.

As you learn in NLP, people think and communicate in three basic ways. Visual, auditory, and kinesthetic (touch). So to communicate effectively to a visual person you would want to say visual oriented things like, "I see what you are saying. You are the light of my life." To an auditory person you would want to say, "I hear what you are saying. Your words are as clear as a bell." And to a kinesthetic person you would say things like, "I feel you. Your words are warm and soothing."

Next, you need to establish rapport with the person by mirroring them physically and mentally. It is easy to mirror (match) someone physically. Adopt their posture and mannerisms. Blink when they do, laugh when they do, smile when they do, etcetera. To mirror them mentally, simply listen intently (eye contact and nodding) and when they mention something they like or value, you pay attention and gear the discussion around such topics. In essence you are not lying, but you are tailoring your personality to make the person feel like your "soulmate".

Finally, check for their "cues." In other words, while one person may think that a bouquet of flowers is a true sign of affection, another person may think that is nothing and may instead see a commitment of time as a sign of true affection. This is the most important aspect of communication, because if you do not understand the other persons cue then you may be using your own cues to communicate your feelings, but even though you are sincere, they will not believe you.

How do you learn another person's cues? Very easily. Ask them when they felt a certain way. For instance, say, "Has a man ever loved you, really?" The woman might say, "Yes. My first boyfriend in high school." You would say, "How did you know?" And the next thing the other person says is their cue. She might say, "He would always bring flowers when he came to visit me." Tada, mission accomplished. Now you know exactly what to do to communicate your love.

With these powerful communication tools you can now communicate effectively with a person of the opposite sex in addition to creating powerful feelings of rapport. These two things will allow you to create desire and attraction with the opposite sex much easier. You still need physical attraction and other things, but saying or doing the wrong thing should no longer be an insurmountable obstacle.
