I've been blogging a little over three months now, and yes, you can definitely earn money blogging. I'm already earning a decent weekly income blogging and I still have much more to learn.

The key to earning money blogging is to learn everything there is to know about it. Read, research, and become knowledgeable in all of the different aspects of the blogging world. Research Google Adsense, Bidvertise, Affiliates, Payperpost, Blogvertise, and Blogitive. Find out more about blog rankings, Technorati and Alexa. Learn about blogging communities such as Mybloglog and why they are so important to your success.

It may seem intimidating at first, but as you continue to learn you will find it becomes easier to understand the art of blogging.

Once you understand everything there is to know about blogging then it's time to work on the content of your blog. To earn money from blogging you will need to post useful information that will draw people to your site. You can start by working on your writing skills. If you need to brush up on your grammar then take an English or Writing course. Do what it takes to prepare yourself to write high quality articles that will gain you a blog readership.

Working hard is a must, but working smart is just as important. Study other successful bloggers and find out what they did to get where they are. Use your own unique voice and perspective of the world to offer something interesting to your readers. There is only one you, and your thoughts and ideas if conveyed well will add something valuable to the blogging world.

Join blog directories and blog communities to promote your blog and make contacts, and even friendships, with other bloggers. Most importantly blog because you love to do it. If you start a blog purely to make money chances are you won't make it. But if you love to write and have something to say to the world then have fun and the money will come.
