to look for the answer of why we exist is to look for something that cant be told to you. sure religions can provide some idealogical answers, but there are alot of religions out there and how can you know which one is correct? you cant, people believe in these religions for comfort of having some sense of knowing whats going to happen and why we are here, but the truth of the matter is is that nobody can be for sure. there are just too many possibilities, and to worry about what is going to happen to you after death is just silly; why worry about something inevitable?

so the reason that you cant look for the answer to why we exist in religion is that we make our own purpose. it is your life so live it doing exactly what you want; when you're lying on your deathbed you want to believe you lead a great satisfying life because it would really suck to be dying and have so many regrets. people are silly creatures and they all think they have the right answer, they do but that answer is only right for themselves. which is why war on religion is started and so on. but whether it be money, family, or something great as long as it keeps you living towards something then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, your own opinion is the most influential.
as for why the human race exists, i couldn't really answer that simply because there is no good answer. why does anything exist? what is the point of anything? unanswerable questions like that are pointless, if there is no concrete way of answering them then why worry about it. the only thing you can do is live without knowing something, which is pretty easy if you think about how much you don't know. after all ignorance is bliss.
