Edwards: Campaign goes on despite wife's cancer

Politics aside; shouldn't a MAN, upon discovering his WIFE has any type of horrible diagnosis, plan to spend the rest of HER life doing the best by her he can? And then, and only then, get on with his?
I think the one thing in Washington that we can all agree on is this; I want a 'leader' in the Oval Office who is contributing one hundred percent of his being on what is best for OUR country, one hundred percent. If a candidate is incapable of this, then he simply is not capable of leading us at this time.

I admire Mr.Edwards' pride in his rearing and childhood history, perhaps now is the time he should reflect a little more on the things he learned from it.
Considering the politic; Mr.Edwards should know that fifty percent of his fans will hold this choice against him, even if not openly, thereby ruining any chance of victory for him. Mrs.Edwards, being the supportive wife, will obviously say her husband should run for the office, that his leading this country is of the utmost importance.

As a man, one who has suffered an inordinate amount of loss in his life, I would offer this, Mr. Edwards will never forgive himself for not spending this time with his wife once she is gone. It is much too easy to take our loved ones for granted and should, at all costs, be avoided.
