Rise as equals; rise and be.
To the mothers at present,
and those yet to be.
You must rise and make changes,
to render you free.
Or else; remain caught,
in a realm of no care.
Where your daughters as you,
become kin to despair.
There are joys to be known,
from which you are restrained.
As if purists have said
"they are seconds and stained".
But then men will destroy,
all they don't understand.
Or they cannot restrain,
and keep in command.
I plea women rise tall ,
have your say and be heard.
You are not a possession,
"just somebodies berd".
But as us as entitled,
to live your life free.
To the mothers at present,
and those yet to be.
