The Dirty Works are a high energy Southern Punk band
which emerged from the sewers of Knoxville, TN in
the summer of 2004.
Unlike many Scum Punk bands they don't write lyrics glorifying rape
pedophilia and bestiality. Actually they have songs condemning Spousal Abuse, Police Brutality, and Governmental abuse of power. It's the live for today uncaring attitude and antics of the band that earn them their spot in the Scum Punk genre'. Steven "Boozy" Crime stated in an after show interview with the Metro-pulse "I play The Booze" then in the same interview went on to say " You know if I can't Play it, Drink it, or have sex with it I probably don't need it. Christopher Scum, chaotic front man often beats his own face bloody during performances and once even set himself on fire with lighter fluid
obtaining third degree burns on his legs and lower torso. The other members have reportedly complained about Scum's distaste for bathing, Drummer B.Riot saying it makes for a long ride in a hot van when he hasn't bathed in a week of shows.
The Dirty Works have one CD out titled Biscuits and Liquor
