10 Reasons why comic books are better than films

The lights go down, a hush follows soon after and a sudden rush fills the room... as you realize you still have about a half hours worth of previews to watch before the actual show can begin.
I'm not sure if you've ever noticed it, but movies are really overrated and sometimes hard to sit though. It feels as if the attention span of everyone has gone down by a lot because of how short and meaningless movies can be. (I'm not saying they're all that way...)

So, what's a better way to spend that time you set aside to see that major movie? How about a comic book? (no, I'm not kidding...)
Need some reasons why? Well, here's ten:

1. A comic book is (usually) cheaper than a movie, especially compared to ones out on DVD. I mean, a comic book (when alone, not a whole bow set, or even older ones) costs around $9 and a movie on DVD starts at $20. Which one sounds better to you?

2. You can read a comic book wherever you want, whereas if you watch a movie you can only be in certain places, like your living room or a movie theater. Although, to some people, You can now watch movies wherever thanks to handhelds and things like that, it just gets back to the whole thing with money.

3. You can make the sound effects! (come on, I know you like doing this, too) Let's face it, in a movie every thing's already set, but in a comic book you can control how people say their lines and decide on the pronunciations of any onomatopoeia you come across. (basically, the sound words like "woosh," "fhoom," and anything else the writer came up with.)

4. A comic book is as visual as a movie but works just like a regular book! That means when you leave off some place you don't need to worry about what was happening before you left because the pages are conveniently numbered, not to mention you can use a bookmark so you don't lose your spot!

5. You'll be able to meet some of the most famous heroes and villains without ever leaving the comfort of... wherever, because most movies nowadays are based off of comics so reading them can be for fun and gaining knowledge about how the story originally happened.

6. You don't have to worry about people getting up too much or saying the lines with the actors distracting you as much as you probably would at a movie theater. Not to mention that books stores and other such places have a quieter, calming feeling than rental places or movie theaters.

7. Wanna know where special effects started? Then I seriously suggest you pick up a
