The World would be a better place without:-
- Cruelty. No matter what form cruelty takes it is unnecessary and heartbreaking.
- Bullying. Bullies may often be people who have also been bullied but that does not excuse them. Bullying can result in people leaving their job, being ill or in a worst case scenario committing suicide.
- Wars.It may be idealistic to believe that we could ever have a world without wars but wouldn't it be grand if it was possible.
- Weapons of any kind(as long as that was completely and for everyone)
- Religion. I know that it is not religion's fault but the way that people use it. However, because of this I feel that we would all be better without it.
- Any royal families. As a friend of mine used to say 'Kings and Queens belong in fairy stories' and I have to agree.
- Inequality. What sort of world do we live in when, for example, one person may spend 10 million dollars or pound on a second home, whilst across the world a huge family may live in poverty in a hut.
- Famine. Similarly many of us Westerners regularly overeat or throw food away whilst others survive on a handful of rice a day. Shame on us.
- Disease. So many diseases rob the sufferer of life itself or a mother, father or child. Why would anyone want to keep disease around.
- Any crippling or painful illness. Once you have watched someone suffer the ravages of Motor Neurone Disease or Cancer, to name but two, you will know what I mean.
- Intolerance. If we could all live and let live the world would be a much better place to live in.
- Belligerence. Why are so many people so hostile? I think we could easily kiss this one goodbye.
- Racism. There is still much hatred between some races all over the world and it is so self destructive.
- Poverty.I do not mean, just not having as many cars as your neighbour or the like, I mean people having to live from hand to mouth.
- Aging and becoming infirm. As someone in those middle years I can already see the changes that are on their way.I do not mind growing older it is just the lack of my faculties and health that may come with this.
- Ignorance. In 2008 it is disgraceful that many people are left ignorant with no chance of education. Worse still are those that remain ignorant by choice.
- Crime. No murders, robberies, rapes, and more. What joy!
- Arrogance. No more people showing an offensive display of superiority, being full of self-importance and having an overbearing pride.
- Discrimination. No more people losing out against others through discrimination.
- Pain and sadness. No more physical and mental anguish. An end to that feeling that your heart will break when you are very sad.
And finally death. No more death, because if all the above have disappeared it might be grand to live forever.
