With so many different varieties of noodle salads, it becomes a matter of personal choice. Any recipe offered become guidelines only since literally any ingredient omitted makes very little difference. With this in mind, here is an interesting recipe to try, and if you like it, please add to your collection of noodle salad ideas.

Ingredients

1 large cabbage, shredded or finely chopped

5 chopped green onions (spring onions)

2 packages uncooked noodles. You can discard any of the included seasonings for this recipe

1/2 cup slivered almonds

5 tablespoons butter

Dressing

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 teaspoons soy sauce

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup vinegar

Cook the noodles and almonds using butter over a medium heat until golden brown. When cooled, combine with the above dressing ingredients. Mix with cabbage and onions in a suitable bowl and serve. This recipe will serve up to ten people for best results, combine all chilled components immediately before serving.
Not a difficult idea, simple to make with readily available ingredients and little preparation time required. This is a prefect recipe for short-notice meal ideas.
