Movie predictions: The Simpsons Movie

Let us be truthful with ourselves. Simpsons, though we love them, are not considered literary, cultured, or intelligent. well, ouch. I personally feel most of the episodes spoof real life more than we care to admit. Although they mock serious issues like child abuse, public drunkenness, and dysfunctional families, they make us laugh. Hard. I hear non-stop complaints that the Simpsons are bad because (I tune out here) from family, co-workers, etc. They whine in the middle of an episode, stop to watch, and end up laughing. Yahoo. There is a wide range of humor, that delights the most jaded to the most prudish.

Ever seen the South Park where Butters tries to find a plot the Simpsons haven't done? Though long running, the series has continually spawned new plots and shows no sign of letting up on the imaginative, twisted view of the world. The movie promises, (from the previews, mind) to be as uplifting, p.c. bashing, and hilarious as the series. Many fans are hoping the movie will be like the series, only two hours long instead of twenty minutes stuffed between commercials.
Remember some of your favorite Simpson jokes? Notice how some of them disappear from the reruns? Let us hope the movie goes where TV won't go, and will unleash new, would be censored, material. The silver screen is where to go with those breath taking, fcc banned, rile you up gags we all snicker at, even if we wouldn't repeat them in public.
obesity might be on the rise, alcoholism may be increasing, but with the Simpsons, it's funny, and fans hope the number of laughs will be reaching new highs.
