How many planets are there in space? Can man quantify it? What about just in our solar system? We are taught about the major planets in school, but what about beyond? Currently, I'm on a Sci-Fi channel kick and I can't get the thought of "infinity" out of my head.

Man, in his realm, knows so LITTLE! We have such a tiny grasp on eternity and forever. In fact, I think we choose to not grasp the unknown. Either subconsciously or consciously we have made it a part of our life to deal with "the known". For example, we know that Pluto is millions of miles from the Earth. However, do we make it a point to know that Pluto may or may not harbor life? What if Pluto has living life on it?

We always tend to think how great we are and how much knowledge we have. It's a bunch of hogwash and horse pucky.

I firmly believe there are many millions and trillions and gaptillions of planets that we have no knowledge of that harbor life. But, how can we ever know that? Secrets of the unknown..... whew! Too much to think about.

So ... can you tell me? Exactly how many planets are there?
