Why Mac is better than PC

MAC vs PC

There are many advantages and disadvantages between the PC and MAC but for me there is one clear winner.
I myself have owned and used PC's out of necessity for years and have had to weather the constant crashing, blue screens and Trojan Virus's. I never got around to using a MAC because to me MAC's were for artists, graphic designers and the general computing elite. Too complicated for your average home user to get there head around.

Then recently I have moved to a different country and quite by chance have ended up using a MAC for the last 12 months.
I would like to say there relatively side by side in the performance and satisfaction stakes but I just can't. Since I have been using the MAC it has never failed once. It has never crashed and blinded me with frequent blue screens or repeatedly bombarded me with grim error warnings that I have no idea how to repair. (Then subsequently hunting around for hours trying to find the right solution to the problem).
I would be lying if I said the MAC is glitch free but I really can't remember the last dramatic episode that kept me in all day reformatting and reloading my hard disk.

So for me reliability is the big overriding factor between them. The reliability of the MAC also relates to its ease of use and the simplicity of its operating system. At least for the user. I'm not talking about knowing how to use the command prompt or anything just the general interface.

The reason the MAC doesn't suffer as much from viruses and hackers as does the PC is down to better firewall protection. But also the fact that the world of commerce and industry is predominantly run using Microsoft software, which of course the PC uses. In other words businesses use PC's more than they use MAC's so all the money, credit card details, and databases of information are stored in a Windows computer or server.

I think its down to preference which one actually looks better, both in the physical appearance of the machines themselves and the look and feel of the operating systems. But the last point in my argument in favor for the MAC is a philosophical one.
Simplicity. In my view anything that is easier and less complicated to perform or operate has to be better. The best laid plan is a simple one.
