8) Your money is your own. You want to take a pottery class for beginners? Why not! You certainly don't need to finance your wife's latest shoe fetish. You've always wanted to try skydiving? Guess what- you don't have a child's education fund that you need to plug money into, so go right ahead and take the jump! Singleness lends itself to a delightful measure of financial freedom, where the decisions you make are yours alone. So go ahead and indulge a little bit!

7) Your friendships can be that much richer. If your best friend calls you at 12am crying because some guy just left her/had a fight with her/stood her up, you can invite her over for chick flicks and strong cocktails till 4am. You don't have to consult with the man sharing your bed to make sure it's okay that she comes over, or worry about waking the kids with your ridiculously loud catcalls while watching the latest episode of The Bachelor. Instead, you can be there when your friends need you, and have a great girl's night at the drop of a hat, too!

6) You can travel! Take off, explore the world! Find a job in England, or backpack through Thailand for the summer. You are free to experience the richest of cultures around the globe, and you get to choose your travel partner (if you so desire to have one)- you are not tied down to anyone at all.
