Are we alone in the universe?

I am a little more curious than the next guy.curious about how we all got here and about just what our ultimate purpose might be. Hushplease don't say it. Unlike you, simplicity is not my thing.

I refuse to accept anything at face value especially with such profound issues involved. Maybe it's just me but I have a real problem with concocted explanations foisted on us by men (and women) with their own grand agenda!

ThanksI take them on board for what they are worth, but sorry! I would much rather find my own answers. I consider it a journeya quest that often brings me to a meditative statesounds spooky? Maybebut it's really true!

As I drift off, I experience a heightened sense of my existence, the alluring magnificence of a sunny day, the heavenliness of the starry midnight sky, the vastness of space and the unending universe. Then invariably, the unanswered questionare we really all alone?

I hear a resounding yes and even a steadfast suggestion that it's purely by chance. But as I ponder the assertion that could only be described as monumental arbitrariness, the more tuned in I become to the staggering complexity of the universe and our very own existence.

How could it be that we are so luckyso lucky to have this all to ourselves? It can't be. Not with billions of other worlds in our own galaxy let alone the entire universe. As I come to a state of peaked meditation the much ridiculed concept of alien life is brought "front and center".

Not aliens of this world; but actual "ETs" from other worlds. Yeah, yeahI knowthe "you must be crazy" kind of alien stuff. But just think for a minute. What if ETs were really real?

What would it mean for our system of religious beliefs as we know them? What about our technology? Assuming ETs are way advanced, would contact mean global obsolescence of our most prized inventions and technological advancements?

And what about our global economic system? What if all of a sudden, for e.g., we had an energy source that could replace oil? Would this mean a total collapse of the system of things as we know it?

Ok, ok! I may be crazy but I am not deaf. I am snapping out of it this instant, but wait! Instead of being so dismissive, you may want to consider the amazing revelation in this video link (http://www.youtube.com/watch? v=s2-6N6akjto). Turns out UFOs are real and up to 1989 all of 57 alien species have been catalogued.

Seems the universe may actually be teeming with life!
