What can be said about the Samsung SGH-D900, or I should say what cannot be said, because just when you though they couldn't pack anymore into an ultra thin slider phone, Samsung found a way. And not only that, they squeezed a 3 mega pixel camera into this phone as well, and get this, with auto focus.
They also added a memory card expansion slot. Although the phone is a bit wider so as to cram all the features into its slim design, it is a nicer feel for holding the phone as well as having a nicer keypad.
Black is in this year, and the D900 is all black, but looks slick as well. This may not appeal to the females who may like to see a white, pink, or any other color than black, but I'm sure Samsung will address that concern in the short future.
The feel of the slider phone is one of quality as it feels solid with its half-auto sliding mechanism. It's very lightweight and fits comfortably in a shirt pocket, and being so thin, you hardly notice your have it there.
Some of the features included would be a document viewer, speakerphone, a TV output, which to me is a really great feature, a USB mass storage mode, and EDGE data. This phone is definitely top shelf with its slim body 3 mega pixel cameral QVGA display, micro SD memory card slot, stereo Bluetooth, speakerphone, and music player.
Early complaints have been addressed, especially concerning earlier keypads Samsung was using. The D900 is very user-friendly with large buttons which clearly erased any concerns about its keypad.
Availability of major carriers for this phone is a bit sparse when considering the purchase of this phone.
But this phone has it all to be sure.
