In my opinion, a great actor should be able to make you truly believe he is the person he portrays. He should pull you in to the movie and make you feel as though you are right there with him. If he plays a bad/scary character, your heart should give a little "kick" the next time you see his face. If he plays a kind/gentle, all in all good guy, your heart should melt just a bit the next time you see him.

Here I will list the actors I believe should be in the top ten:
1. Jack Nicholson - one of my very favorite actors - played "the Joker" in Batman and was one of the funniest bad guys ever - Something's Gotta Give he played an ornery older man who prides himself on being able to snag very sexy women in their late 20's to about their late 30's. He seems like a love 'em and leave 'em kind of guy until he falls, reluctantly, for his date's no nonsense mom. Very sensitive and funny movie. - We cannot forget Terms of Endearment where again he plays the suave older man who does his fair share of wining and dining the ladies. - Witches of Eastwick, Wolf, Anger Management, About Schmidt, A Few Good Men and many many others are also under his belt.

2. Denzel Washington - John Q, The Bone Collector, Pelican Brief, Fallen, Philadelphia Remember The Titans, and The Preacher's Wife are only a few of his many great movies. In my home, one of our favorite movies of his is called Man On Fire. We happen to call it Man Gone Wild in our house because of the way he goes wild on all the bad guys involved in the kidnapping of the little girl he is hired to be the bodyguard for. The way he kills each bad guy is different. The next kill always more terrifying and gruesome than the last. Believe me when I say if you haven't seen this movie yet, rent it, borrow it or buy it. You won't be disappointed!

3. Tom Hanks - Amazing actor. He is one of the ones I mentioned above that really makes you believe he is that person he's portraying. His performance in Forest Gump was phenomenal. I won't lie, when I first saw the movie, I truly thought some of the clips were of a mentally challenged individual. It took me several minutes to even realize it was TH. Honestly, he is amazing. - Big, Sleepless In Seattle, You've Got Mail, Splash and Apollo 13 are just a few of his many wonderful films. I just had to back up and add another three awesome films of Tom Hanks called The Green Mile, Castaway and The Terminal. You really should see these movies.

4. Morgan Freeman - I love this actor and would be in
