Discovering Myself!
Haunting whispers once oppressing,
spring to mind for re-addressing,
Asking why I didn't go,
Why'd you stay, and douse the glow?
That once from you emitted such,
a glow that darkness, yearned to touch,
and now a shadow of yourself,
a sprightly soul, jarred on a shelf.
In deep regret and solitude,
echoes of my past intrude,
whispering their haunting words,
you had the chance, to fly with birds.
across the oceans soft and blue,
you squandered all now look at you!
a shadow of your former self,
a sprightly soul, jarred on a shelf.
These whispers marinate, my brain,
with questions beaming, deep disdain.
they do not give me time to pause,
spreading thoughts, like poisoned spores.
And as I yield I take in stock,
I see as they, the ticking clock,
and then the shadow of myself,
a sprightly soul, jarred on a shelf.

I searched for answers
but found more questions.
I searched for freedom
