If the United States builds a wall along our border the side effects could be disastrous. First off the drug smugglers will have to find other ways to get drugs onto our city streets. Not to mention that the human sex slave trade will suffer.
You see there isnt really a good reason to not build a wall. The one that is supposed to be built is only 700 miles long...not covering the whole border like it should. First off building a wall will create jobs, American citizens will be digging the trenches and pouring the concrete. It will cost billions but that money will be dumped right back into our economy, much in the same way that the construction of our highways during the depression caused economic growth...well assuming that we use American companies, supplies and labor to make the wall.
Despite what other people say it wont have to be manned all the time, just patrolled. Officers patrolling the wall will serve to create more jobs, causing more money to be spent in the US economy.
Building a wall is a great idea anyway you slice it.
