Yes, cash advance is definitely addicting. it is tantamount to withdrawing cash from your credit card, meaning you are using "future money", which you may not even have to begin with.
As such, people may have the tendency to draw more frequently. But they do not realise that the money you have drawn incurs interest as well as administrative charges at times. Therefore, you will be paying for more than what you have withdrawn, which is undesirable. However, cash advance is so readily available that it makes some people drawing cash to get something that they couldn't afford previously without cash advance.
So I would agree fully that cash advancing is without a doubt addictive and that if one is addicted to it, it may not be so easy to dissuade the person from doing cash advance
