I don't know who don Imus is, I mean what kind of person he is or what his beliefs are. This means I have no right to judge whether he is a racist or not. By just listening to statements he made in regard to the Rutgers Women's basketball players, I would have to say he has some serious misconceptions and being a woman it did offend me, but I will refrain from calling him an out right racist.

Now in this light, if you ask me if he should be fired or not, I would say NO. This because, he has First Amendment Right to free speech. Well, free speech does not mean he can say whatever nonsense about women and minorities but we cannot force him to be nice. All we can do is call him out on his mistake and show what he has done. After that it is him who has to decide, whether he wants to change his ways or not.

Also we have know that Don Imus has been making these hateful comments for years, he called Arabs "rag heads" but no one cried foul at that time. I don't know why this time he was caught.Anyway, he is now forced to accept his mistake and I believe it is punishment in itself.
