A business degree is one of the more popular choices among college students, especially those who know they want to go into the corporate world after graduation. A Business Administration degree will expose you to multiple aspects of the business world, including finance, accounting, and management. This is a good path to take if you haven't already decided on a specific niche.
It is a good idea to take at least a few business classes, or even minor in business or finance, but it's also important to be well rounded. If you do major in business, then minor in something like communications or literature. Balance in all things is critical.
But a business degree is neither necessary for a career in business nor a guarantee of a job after graduation. The most important thing most employers are looking for is a degree of some kind. They're going to train you in the workings of their particular corporate culture once you're on board. I have over a dozen years in corporate management positions, and my degree is in Theology. I have a friend running a major corporation with a degree in Art History.
Regardless of your major, the key point is that you finish the degree program. And in order to be able to stick with it for 4 or 5 years or more, choose something that truly interests you. That's the best way to ensure success now and in the future.
