Standard psychotherapy can go on for years without resolving the real issues for which a person sought therapy in the first place.
There is a different method of therapy treatment called "kinesiology," practiced by some therapists (not many) that will get to the root of the client's real challenges quickly so they can get on with their lives. It's amazing how accurately it pinpoints the truth from fiction.
Dr. H states, "A client comes in with a so-called problem but the kinesiology testing says that is not the problem. Then I explore and discover the real problem. That cuts therapy to one-tenth the time and frees the person to get on with their life. It is a wonderful tool."
Dr. H has treated me using kinesiology, and let me tell you it's better than a lie detector. The truth is in your arm. It blew me away to find out I didn't want to make changes in my life when that's what I thought I'd been working on for years.
Here's how it works. The therapist has you extend your arm, resisting the pressure the therapist applies when a statement is made. For example, the statement might be "My name is Joyce" and since it is, my arm remains out, steady under the pressure. When a false statement is made, such as "I am 25 years old" my arm buckles, unable to withstand the lie.
The subconscious is at work here. Dr. H goes on to state, "You see your subconscious mind has your present behaviors as its comfort zone, on auto pilot. With the use of the tools you reprogram your subconscious mind which is a willing and obedient servant. Ninety percent of who we are is subconscious . . . very enlightening."
I'm just fascinated with the idea that I can't BS myself anymore and can experience authentic personal growth because the truth has been discovered.
