The hole you couldn't fill
Why did you do it?
Come on tell me why!
You know what I'm like,
you knew that I'd cry.
And yet you insisted,
to push to your goal!
With insistence you said,
"I can fill the hole".
So I eased up a little,
and you pushed on in.
And your promises offered,
a guaranteed win!
But the win wasn't coming,
you knew then and now.
As you lied yet still pushed,
you would fill me somehow.
And as I lay swelling,
In a roundabout glee!
Then the truths; really lies,
about you, came to me.
And I swish and I swill,
In a strange sickly feeling!
Since the hole, you failed filling,
In my head is still healing.
