It's easy to earn a few extra dollars online every month, with little participation. Here are a few websites that I will suggest, and how to maximize your potential with each.

1. www.Helium.com

Helium is great! In the first month that I've been here, I've made more than 18 dollars. This is by posting a few articles every day and advertising my articles to friends and forums.

Here's my hot tip for making money on Helium:

Copy the URL from your Helium Article and post it as your homepage when you post to forums such as Digg, Livejournal, del.icio.us, or Blogger.com. That way, each time you post a response to someone's article, there's an opportunity for someone to read it. Like this:

http://www.helium.com/user/show/[your user number here]

(Put your number in the bracket, silly.)

Hot Tip Number 2:

Post your Helium article to del.icio.us. Don't forget that there are time-ranges for when people visit major networking sites, the best time of day is right around 4 PM - most people will arrive home at 5 or 6 o'clock and immediately check out the hot new stories on del.icio.us. If you have an article that is truly usefull, people will spend time and visit.

2. www.mylot.com

Mylot has a lot of potential for earning. The best way to do this is by starting discussions. Ask as many questions as you can.

Each time you write a response to a discussion, it earns you 1 cent. Each time someone responds to your discussion, it earns you 6 cents.

You can also earn money from referrals.

3. Triond.com

Triond accepts submissions of writing, photos, music, and videos. All you have to do is upload.

I suggest using your camera phone, taking as many simple pictures as you can, and uploading every single day. My experience says that each picture you upload with Triond will earn you one cent every two days. Just upload one-hundred pictures and you have roughly 50 cents per day in revenue for doing nothing! Tag each picture and you can make revenue from that information.

If you have a simple music making program, like fruity loops, or cubase, it's possible to create your own music for revenue-generating purposes. Just create simple music, and focus on the tag.

4. Blogchex.com

Blogchex is an excellent blogging website. They pay a bit of revenue for your blog. It's direct, so you don't have to set up the advertisements, you simply blog away! Choose a subject that people want to read about, and you will generate income from your writing.

My articles on blogchex usually earn about 1 cent a day per post.

5. Associatedcontent.com

Associatedcontent.com is a website devoted to the production of articles, videos and other forms of media. I suggest you check it out!

PROS: More money per article, short-term gain. Articles usually pay $8-$10 dollars.
Video content also welcome.
CONS: More competition, higher technical prowess needed, more professional attitude needed.

6. Couponmom.com

Couponmom.com was mentioned by an ABC news article recently, this site has many money-making links for stay-at-home-moms as well as coupons and savings ideas. Idea for a housewife or someone who stays at home.

To summarize, if you want to make money online, you have to put in some effort online. There's plenty of opportunity out there!
