Deciding if a degree in education is right for you

In order to determine if a degree in education is right for you, you must have a passion for students and learning. You must be a people lover and have determination, perseverance and a strong will. You will have to stand up to the obnoxious student as well as understand the slow learner. You'll be challenged by the gifted student and be responsible to protect the weak from the bullies. In this day and age, there is not a lot of respect for teachers anymore and when you run into a student who curses you out, you'll find that his parents will do the same. But, the student who excels and achieves far more than they ever thought possible will be your greatest reward. Because you challenged them and encouraged them all the way.
If you can relate to the passion for learning and teaching students, then persuing a degree in education is right for you.
