Home alone: Determining the age at which your child can be left on his own

This subject is conjective, as every child will develop and grow, both physically and in maturity, at a different rate. Determining a suitable age to leave a child at home alone is more about the personality of the child than a specific age they should be.
For example i was virtually fully grown by the age of 13, and was mature enough to be left alone then, whereas my younger brother is now 17, and my parents are still unsure about leaving him alone, as he is immature, and will likely wreck the house while they are gone.
There is a transition that needs to be addressed between the safety aspect of the child being alone, and the maturity of said child to behave themselves, whether they are safe or not.
So overall this subject should be judged on a case by case basis, as there is no singular age all children are mature enough, as they develop at different rates.
