Weddings can be both wonderful and stressful. There is so much to be done in the planning process and we feel like we are forgetting something still yet. We want to have the wedding of our dreams. Our wedding party is a very important part of the process. The people we pick to stand there and support us in front of God and everybody deserve a thank you also.
Many brides try to give gifts to the wedding party to show appreciation. Some parties are bigger than others so pay attention to your pocket book. Only give what you can afford. You don't have to give anything; they should just be willing to help out because they are a friend. Regardless, there are still some folks who want to feel like they have thanked those who helped them.
Say thank you. Those two words mean more than you think. It isn't an expensive gift, and it isn't very creative but it's genuine. Let them know that their help meant a lot to you. People who are thanked are more likely to help again if needed. Take advantage of people's kindness and get nothing.
Send out thank you cards. Traditionally, the new couple sends out cards to those who got them presents. A good idea would also be to send out cards to everyone who showed up to spend the day with them. Personalize each card. Make sure those that pitched in to help with the wedding know just how much their help meant to you.
Give your wedding party souvenirs from the wedding. This may be something simple like a bottle of bubbles or a basket. You could also give them a small gift card from the local store. This says "Thank you, buy yourself something nice."
Make a homemade wedding keepsake. Frame the invitation and a few pictures of the wedding. If you can, throw in a picture of the person who you are giving the frame to, for the wedding. This is a beautifully sentimental idea and will be treasured for years to come.
If you are leaving for your honeymoon, you can make planes to have a lunch date when you get back. Make it your treat. This is a nice gesture. Besides, everyone has got to eat. Whatever you decide to give as a gift, give from the heart. Be sincere and be grateful you have great people who are willing to help you and be by your side as you take the big step into marriage.
