When deciding on April Fools' Day prank-gift ideas, you should take several things into consideration. We want the prank to be funny, but we do not want to make anyone mad, upset, or offended.

Think about the person you are giving the prank gift to, and decide on what type of prank gift would be best for this particular person. If a person never speaks of sex or is religious, it would not be a good idea to get them some prank sex toy. I have worked in several factories and actually seen this done a few times, and it hasn't always been pretty.

If the person you are giving the prank gift to is very shy in nature, it could be very devastating to him or her to be embarrassed in front of several people, so you should think about playing the prank on them in a more secluded atmosphere. The last thing you want to do is hurt someone, physically or emotionally.

Cigarette loads may be a very funny prank for non-smokers to play on a smoker, but to the serious smoker, it is not very funny at all, especially if they are on a short break where they do not have much time. Cigarettes are not cheap now days, and no one wants you putting your fingers all over the end of their cigarette, so find some other way to be funny.

Two years ago at a family reunion, my father played a prank on his 70+ year old aunt, and she got the biggest kick out of it, we all did! He had this contraption that made farting sounds. This "fart box" had a remote control, so he slid the speaker part under her chair and stood across the room pressing the button and talking to his cousins and other family members. We never laughed so hard in our lives. Everyone was looking around wondering who was the culprit. Something like this can be hilarious, but you must do it around company that will appreciate it as a good prank, and not just being sick.

In closing, remember to evaluate what type of person you are playing the joke on, so that you will still have the friend when it is all over. Most people will not mind a good joke, but there are still people out there who are "fuddy-duddies", so watch out for them.
