Controversial radio host Don Imus: Should he be fired for his remarks?

Whether I find Imus' remarks offensive or not isn't the point. Whether I listen to his show or not isn't the point. He has a right to say anything he wants on the radio and we all have the right to turn the dial, hit the 'off' button or boycott his sponsors and station.

He shouldn't be fired and I am sure he won't be. The only conscience these media moguls have is the one in their wallet, and as long as Imus makes money for them, he will be guaranteed a job, period. The only color these goofs care about is GREEN!

What gives Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton the right to lord in judgment over anyone? They have more scandals in their lives to count, and they are NEVER held up as examples, nor does anyone front them on their poor antics. Of course, no one can demand their firing because they apparently don't 'work' anywhere!

We have a Constitution in this country, and it gives us free speech. Period. There shouldn't even be a question. Good Lord, look at things said every day by tons of different people in and out of public eye that are offensive! Why choose this? It is interesting to note that Imus has been using this type of 'humor' for years and the liberal community has nodded and winked and given him a pass the entire time! The man has said worse, and no one cared. What makes this so special?
