An Associate's Degree is a great choice for College Students who are inclined to begin their career as soon as possible. In addition to it being a minimum requirement for many career paths, there are many other benefits to pursuing an Associate's Degree.
1) The Associate's Degree can help students pursue higher education and attain a Bachelor's Degree. It can also give students an opportunity to transfer from a junior or community college to a four year university.
2) Students who are constrained financially can find a more affordable education and continue working a job while attending a lower course load.
3) Many State, City, and Federal Government careers require College experience. An Associate's Degree may open up opportunities for those wishing to pursue this path.
4) The most common Associate's Degrees are in either Arts (Associate of Arts or AA) or Science (Associate of Science or AS).
If college isn't for you, but, your goal oriented, looking to build a career, and are looking for a foot in the door, earning an Associate's Degree might be a suitable option for you.
