Benefits of playing video games

Video games are more then just for entertainment and playing with friends. You may not even realise it but you are learning a lot from video gamers while your playing them just for fun.

Think of how many words you read during dialogue scenes, think of all the words that you learn about and store subconsciously in your memory. We then later use these words in our own speech without even realising it. Not only that but theres are many games based on real events in history, there are a lot of games that cause u to solve problems to continue. There is also some very strategic games, these cause you to think things through in advanced and base your next play on his move. This helps you the same in real life if u get in certain situations, you dont even realise how much the video games r helping you.

You can also learn a lot from video games in the sports games. I remember that's how i first learnt the rules to soccer, and how to play the game. This is deffinitly equa;l for anysports game. Not only that but it helps you learn different plays, different strategies, different tricks. All which can be applied to your real gameplay and help you out a lot then just watching soccer on tv.

Another point id like to bring up is that there are some video games that keeo u in shape. Dance dance revolution, and some wii games if you get really into it can help you lose quite a bit of weight. There is actually one lady who lost quite a few pounds and got in very good shape just from playing DDR and eating right.

So when your parents say "stop playing those video games and pick up a book" u tell them that u can learn just as much from video games AND have fun at the same time.
