Not Seeing You
There is strength in not seeing you
Happy hardness to being alone
Untouched
A certain subtle sadness propping me
Buttressed by a humble knowledge
Of what we cannot be
There is depth to the hollowness
Of my life without you
A lingering slumber of each step
Druggedly mutedly stumbling in stupor
The is no rhythm to our numbness
No oneness to our shame,
But that ecstatic pain
And draining humility
That now defines my strength
The concrete comfort
And solid certainty;
There is something to be said for being alone
Untouched

around my finger is the promise, no joke.
I took it serious as so many do, did
