Now, I am no arts and crafts queen but this is easy, fun and beautifies any home.
You will need a glass jar like a ragu or prego jar. Start with the smaller one. Get a short strand of clear bulb lights. Get some real good potpourri and a colorful laced Dollie. For a final touch get a skinny ribbon. Color is optional. One more item you will need is a rubber band.
Make sure your jar is clean and free from any adhesive from the label. Take some potpourri and sprinkle a layer inside. Next, take your lights and twirl a row inside the jar, add more potpourri, twirl more lights inside. Remember we want to plug it in the outlet so keep that end out. Keep going until you get to the top. You should have enough cord left to reach an outlet. Try for 6 inches because when not in use it doesn't look real pretty with all the extra cord.
Take your Dollie and put on top, wrap rubber band around that and tie a ribbon. You have created your own housewarming gift. This is lovely for a bathroom, bedroom or any room. It gives off a pretty light and once it is warmed it releases a beautiful scent. You could make one for every room.
I have one next to my bed and a friend of mine has one in her kitchen. Just don't leave plugged in when your not home or for more than 6 to 8 hours. I've had mine on longer and it was fine but glass does get hot and it could create a fire so use with care.
