Why soccer is not so popular in the US as elsewhere

Simple. This is because the US already has so many popular sports leagues that many of the citizens prefer over there. Soccer is too long , and doesn't have enough action in it to entertain the american public after seeing all the choices of sports they can be entertained with.

Theres the NHL
The NHL is quicker paced then a soccer game. having an ice about 4 times as small deffinitly makes it easier to watch in person. Nevermind the 5 on 5 aspect. Theres about 60 shots throguhout a game from both teams combined where as soccer theres like 20. Fighting is allowed and penalties r only a little part on the effect of the game causing them to be more common then a soccer player getting a red card.

NBA
im not a huge NBA fan. But who doesnt love a high scoring sports game? i mean u get to see so many nice shots where as soccer u may see 1 in a game. Nevermind all the possible trick shots, team plays and those wicked slam dunks that they do!

MLB
The most popular sport in america. not a big fan of this either. Theres just something about watching baseball though that makes it fun. Its a game that everyone can enjoy even if they dont like baseball. Who doesnt love the salty peanuts they sell and the big show on the score board!

NFL
The most violent sport u can watch on tv maybe , also one of the most tactical. This is the sport of those diehard american fans who love the violence because every play theres violence. And for all those guys out there, u gotta admit no matter how bad a football game may be the cheerleaders r always fine!
