2007 NFL draft predictions

It's everyone's favorite time of year. In the next couple of weeks you'll be seeing a lot of mock drafts from people that claim that they are experts. I'm one of those people. With the first pick in the NFL draft, the Oakland Raiders select...

1. Oakland Raiders- Jamarcus Russell, QB, LSU- The last time Randy Moss played on a team with a big and mobile quarterback who can just happen to throw the ball the length of the field, there was a lot of success. Al Davis is licking his chops.

2. Detroit Lions- Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin- The highest rated offensive lineman in this year's draft. Joe Thomas meet the Detroit Lions. The Lions have had issues with protecting their quarterback for years. I'll give you three reasons why Calvin Johnson wasn't picked: Charles Rogers, Roy Williams, and Mike Williams.

3. Cleveland Browns- Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma- The highest rated running back in the entire draft. Even with the free agent pick up of Jamal Lewis, look for Romeo Crennel to pick up this bruising back. Imagine the tandem of Jamal Lewis and Adrian Peterson together.

4. Tampa Bay- Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech- The best prospect overall in this year's draft class, and it only took him 3 teams passing on him to get picked. Jon Gruden is going to have a field day with this beast.

5. Arizona- Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson- The Cardinals had such a potent offense last season. This year its time to address the defense. Adams will put pressure on the opposing teams quarterbacks. This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

6. Washington- Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas- This was my favorite pick of the day because I just don't think it makes that much sense, but thats my feeling about the Redskins.

7. Minnesota- Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame- If only Brady had won some meaningful games at Notre Dame. His stock has dropped quite a bit since the end of the season. Brad Childress is happy though and thats all that matters.

8. Atlanta- Laron Landry, S, LSU- Best safety in the draft. If I were the Cardinals, this would've been my pick but I'm not the man upstairs. Congratulations Falcons, you just got the best DB in the draft.

9. Miami- Levi Brown, OT, Penn State- The Dolphins haven't had that great of an offensive line over recent years. Brown can help with that.

10. Houston- Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal- Adrian Peterson is gone and so isn't Levi Brown. The next best thing is Lynch. He runs hard and is a good pass catcher. He'll help make the backfield stronger with Ahman Green.

11.
