There is nobody on this Earth who comes close to your Mother. She, with all her faults, is perfect. She has been there for every stomach ache or bruise. She has proudly watched every pageant or play and cherished every school project. So, when Mother's Day comes around we all wonder what could we get her to equal all that. Although they could never says how much we love them, gift baskets are the perfect way to return those comforts.

Of course, you can order them from any catalog or on-line, but personal touches say more then the actual gift. So, make a list of all your moms favorites and combine them into one amazing baskets. Here are some ideas to get you started:

FOOD:

• Tea/Coffee/Wine Baskets: Pick out a selection of her favorites. Add a mug or wine glasses and different snacks. For the tea or coffee try biscotti, butter cookies or graham crackers. Do a selection of cheeses and olives for the wine basket. If you are feeling really creative, instead of the basket stuff a new tea pot or coffee pot with those items.

• Chocolates: Think Ghirardelli, Lindt, or Godiva- specialty chocolates that are worth the price you'll pay. Mix in dark, milk, and white chocolate in assorted flavors like raspberry, orange, or mint. For a personal touch, add some home made decadent brownies or cookies.

• Breakfast in Bed: Who doesn't like being waited on hand and foot? Make sure if you choose this basket to have the time to make it. Toss in her favorite pancake mix and syrups. Also a scone or biscuit mix with a selection of jams. Buy some of those mini cereal boxes and a cute bowl for creative flair. Use a wicker serving tray in replace of a traditional basket.

• Ice Cream/Candy: The ice cream basket just means getting different toppings- nuts, Oreo bits, syrups, waffle cones or bowls. Those favorite extras that never seem to be on hand when you want to enjoy a bowl of ice cream. If your mom loves candy, try an assortment of her favorites plus old salt water taffy or jelly bellies.

• Spice Bazaar: Does your mom love to cook? Mine does and always seems to complain about the quality of her spices. If you're lucky, your city has a local spice bazaar filled with the freshest and most natural spice imagined. Ask the shop keeper and get some of the most exotic spices- perfect for any dish.

• Trail Mix: For the mom who likes to snack, get a basket that is full of pretzels, nuts, dried fruits, yogurt/chocolate raisins and chips.
