(1) Microphone
Firstly, you need to get a microphone to make internet phone calls. Or visit any computer hardware stores for it.

(2) Software
(a) Skype. You may use Skype to talk to your friends through the internet. Refer to "www.skype.com" for details. It's free to download and use. There is no additional charges to this. The downside is that the other party must be using skype too. Also, the connectivity or clarity of voice may not be clear for certain countries.
(b)Yahoo Messenger. Refer to "http://sg.beta.messenger .yahoo.com/" for details. You can make PC-to-Phone calls using this at low cost. You will need a yahoo account for this.
(c) MSN Messenger. Refer to "http://join.msn.com/mess enger/overview/" for deyails. You can use any email account for this. But limited to PC-to-PC calling only.
