Poetry: Artists

The Artist's Power

I look around straining to see,
What true love is meant to be.
A bird, a dove or my sweet baby boy,
An intricate design of a delicate toy.

A thought, a whim or dream come true,
Feeling and knowing the right thing to do.
A song sung well or creation of beautiful art,
Self expression is the start of a small spark.

Roses, daisy's or fresh spring air,
Are all inspiration for those who dare.
Creator or lover makes no difference,
The beauty we see makes the same inference.

Art is a passion I can not ignore,
It is good for the soul as well as much more.
A fashion, a presence or gem quite rare,
As stunning and enrapturing as a maiden fair.

Fairies and fireflies on a moonlit dance,
Words or pictures to capture the essence.
It is not simple or quick to honestly find,
The word to describe or paint from the mind.

A snare, a trap; to catch in your mind's eye,
The beauty and wonders surrounding the sky.
I look fully aware of images of brilliance,
That are in now way ordinary but only extravagant!
